A brilliant time saver!!
Tight arse is super simple to use and saves so much time. I'm making techno so a big low end rumble is essentially but often loses punch, tight arse solves these issues quickly and easily.
fast and easy way for tighning the low end
Nice plug, nothing i don't do already but in a case of a terrible mix i would pass it thru that plug in before i go into my mastering chain.
I am doing my first ever mix, and was agonizing about the flabbiness of my kick. Now my song is of the Afropop RnB genre, with a 90s/2000s RnB vibe. This made finding the appropriate kick sample difficult hence me ending up with a sample that was flabby and jowly. Long story short, I was online researching for a technique to tighten the low end and was getting all sorts of suggestions, including, to cut at 30HZ. But you do this and you loose the body of the kick and so it was frustrating. Then Streaky's tight arse came up. Initially i was sceptical because the name sounded funny, but then Streaky's name was attached to it and he is a respected mastering engineer in the UK. Besides, there is this youtube channel that reviews and rates plugins and they are so candid about it - they will says it is sh*t if its not good. I watched their review and they said it was good but feared that it would make up and coming mix engineers lazy about learning how to tighten their loose loweneds manually if they use the plugin since tight arse will do it all for you in minutes. I was convinced and placed my order. In my country, we were having elections around the same time and i was caught in it because i work with a CSO and so didn't get to try it until later, and when i did, oh my goodness! so simple, so easy, and so effective! within minutes i had gotten rid of the jowls and tightened the kick to taste. GREAT plugin! I still vow to learn how to do it manually too, but even when I do, i still will use tight arse. Now the improvement i see Streaky adding in future is a palette of saturation/distortion condiments...wel i am just being greedy, but yeah, it would be nice! 5-stars (*****) for me!

What a plugin! It keeps the low end punchy but at the same time is balancing the volume of the low end with the other frequencies, all of this with just a few knobs! The only thing that I would like to have is a linear phase mode that prevents phase shifting while applying the eq's and the cross-fade point, sometimes I have these issues when I apply the plugin in the kick-bass group

Easy to use and a great compliment to my plugins. Tried it in various situations... across my Kick, Snare, Toms, Drum Bus and with the Bass, it works a treat, lifting the feel and sound of the tracks to another level. WInner...

Tightness Secured
This thing is pretty cool to mess with. Upon my first placement with it, I used it on a pretty fat kick that had enormous low end sonics. I was impressed to hear it reasonably tame but yet give it punch nearly turning it into a new kick. I still have more to work with on it, but this is a great tool to have ready on drum work. Great tool
I was really happy that it does exactly what it’s been advertised to do. I used it on both a bass synth it helped control the bottom end. I put it on a kick & it controlled the bottom end. I used it on the master buss & it focused the bottom end. I love its ease of use, the way it looks as well as the results it gave my project.

Great to be able to dial in some pro sounding low end quickly, whether or not you know what you are actually doing when you’re moving the knobs around.

I really appreciate the versatility of this plugin. By using multiple microphones on my kick drum, I can highlight the strengths of each mic, blending the deep, loose sub sound with the tight punch of the kick. This allows me to create a rich, professional kick sound that I love!

Works well
I read the articles. That this is just a preset. That may be the case. But I buy and use presets to try to get me where I want to be quicker. This does that. Sorted out my low end quickly and now sounds better. I’m pleased.

Remastering Vinyl
Plug in works quite well for restoring (and adding) low end when re-mastering Vinyl. There could be a bit more gain, however that provided is adequate in most instances.

This thing is a genius mix improver
This is one of those plugins that makes you wanna go back to old mixes and masters and put it on all of them. Simple to use, with a wide range from subtle to huge, clean to colored… I’m finding it even improves mixes where I thought the low end was already good. And it’s amazing how cleaning up the low end makes mids and highs better too. Nice work Streaky!

Great for the plugin toolbox
Nice and clean changes to the low end. It allows for certain frequencies to shine through while tightening things up. Do I use it every time, no, but a great quick fix for many scenarios.

I recently bought this and threw it on my mix bus and love what it does. It’s easy to use and now it’s a staple on my mix bus.
One of the best plugins I've ever bought
Tightarse is one of the best plugins I've ever bought. If any of you have toiled over getting the best mix and master you possibly can you'll know that getting the low end on your mix right is one of the hardest parts. Tightarse has really taken the low end of my mix to the next level which gave space for all the mids to shine through as well making my mixes so much better. I can't recommend this plugin enough.

A great little cheat code for bass frequencies
This is a time saver if you want to get a nice low end punch or decent sounding low end to your mix. Controls are effective and easy to use and it’s found a permanent place on my mix bus.

My hearing is not skilled enough to pick up the subtleties that the plug in provides, but as Streaky has the runs on the board, I believe the plug-in does its job. I also use color box and I can hear that difference quite well.

Missing piece
I put this on unsalvageable monstrosities of 2 track mixes due to boxy overpowering wobbly bass, and now they are some of my favorites. This plugin will get it tight and thumpy or loose and girthy to preference with a touch of silk. This plugin is the missing piece to that professional sounding mix you're looking for.

I just bought the new "Tight Arse" Plugin by Streaky and like all the other great advice- and suggestion videos on Youtube by Streaky, this comes in handy when you need an extra check on the low ends in the mix. I have to say, the most important Plugin in the Mastering chain, for me, is the Colour Box, also of the same author. The tight bass end just adds a little something to make your master sound that bit more professional. Thank's for helping!

I love using this thing to get the ball rolling on a mix chain, sorta like "ok I'm safe to go bonkers", aaaand when I inevitability go bonkers I put another one on to reset my ridiculous "creative, sound design" decisions. Do that for all elements and then put one on the master and you're just about done with the master. Just some final EQ nudging to call it "mine" and voila a well controlled master ready for limiting, I love it. I tried to defeat it while using the trial, I simply couldn't figure it out that quickly, this thing really seems to be doing several things to come together for the final result. I love the Mixing and Mastering process so I intend to use this as a sort of training wheels, where I keep trying to present it with a sound and it doesn't drastically improve it. This will tell me I have outgrown the plugin and now understand it's fundamentals. So in short I intend to make this obsolete by using it to train my ears for what I am looking for when aiming for mix tightness. Thank you Streaky for wrapping your mixing know-how into a nice to use plugin like this. One could avoid paying an engineer with this, or an engineer can train their ears with this. Thoroughly impressed with my results every single time. Super curious...do you re-synthesize the fundamentals at all?

Does exactly what it says on its tight user interface. Acoustically very intuitive & the presets give you a great jumping off point (I’d love some presets on colorbox)
Does a good job quickly!
The plugin does a good job quickly and adapts easily to different styles of music. 👍🏻 If I had to mention one downside.. it’s not with the plugin it’s with only having 1 license available on iLOK since my main production computer is offline and the dongle stays there. 2 licenses would be ideal.

This plugin is indeed very good, I like the way it tightens up the lower range, creates kick seperation and also glues at the same time. Would be nice if the cost was a little lower and within line of other plugins but this does a great job.
Some good TA....
I was using two bass tracks (one low, one high) to get a punchy sound, but couldn't quite get there. I loaded up TA and dropped one of the bass tracks and it is TA SOLID. Definitely worth the download and I'll be using it on both bass/kick. It saved me so much time & frustration. Great job Streaky!

In a downmix/master situation, the bottom is always one of the biggest challenges. Testing out "Tight Arse" on my previous downmixes makes me realize I should have had this a long time ago. A fantastic tool like no other plugin for this use. Raises the bass and kick drum to a new level. A must have plugin!!!
