Colourbox - A Winner
Colourbox does exactly what Streaky says it'll do. Ive used it on Individual Tracks, my Mix Bus and also in my Mastering chain (wanted to try it in various environments within the project), and it works brilliantly. It's lifted my projects to another level with such ease. Saves time and its a winner.

Yea it didn't take long for me to come to the conclusion that this plugin is amazing, you can get great results in a matter of a couple minutes. It's also impressive how universal it is too, it doesn't matter the type of song or mix, this thing still works. The only caution I can see with this is not to rely on it too heavily, you should still do your proper eq'ing, but this plugin is a nice additional touch

Bought this plugin last year. Tried activating today, and it suddenly asks for an iLok number they never sent me. Kept following up, and still, no reply from them.

Tod Almond Music I was curious about Streakys new plugin EQ so I thought , ok I’ll check this out😎 I’m glad I did, it changed my mixers and became so much clearer. Within a few minutes my mixers were alive. I tried the presets which were amazing and messed around with it. It’s so easy to use and truly does make a difference. I’ve added colourbox to my mastering chain as it works very well there too. Thankyou Streaky
Helpful tool for mixing
For this review I tested on purpose: the difference between the mix with and without the ColourBox placed into the mix buses. The results speak on behalf of this plugin.

I give this a 5 out of 5. What does it do? It adds thickness, sparkle and punch. I tend to use it more on bus:es than the master. Very good and solid tool for your Arsenal of tools.
Colourbox is great !
I've been using the plugin for about two weeks now and I'm very happy. It gives life and color to the projects I work on in a leisurely, I would say musical way. I use it on individual instruments such as drums, vocals, etc., as well as on groups (buses) and the result is always great.
seems to add clarity
At 74 years of age, and with some tinnitus, my mixes can miss some bits. I looked at some reviews of this plugin on you tube. Some were quite critical of the price, given their ability to recreate similar curves in their existing plugins. I don't have their skill set. I have always enjoyed Streaky's tips and tricks so I gave this a go. When I add it to my channel strip or output chain, I notice what I consider to be "cleaner" output. I set it basically on 40 for each knob and work from there. It was a bit pricey, even with the discount. Is it worth it? I'd say yes if you don't have all the tips and tricks on EQ nailed down.

After getting my hands on the Colourbox, I realised that I was missing this plugin on my mixes. Now I am able add warmth on thin sounding elements like vocals, plucks & drums. Secondly clarity & focus add more presence & brightness which is essential for the mixes. Overall, Colourbox saves me time & does the job really well.

This plugin is a mix game changer for me. I cant stop using it to enhance the clarity of instruments in my mixes. Drums, vocals, guitars, keys, i can dial in just the right amount of clarity and focus to put it in the perfect mix space without changing the level. It can be a subtle, but very effective tonal shaper, and easy to dial ! I'm not going to be able to live with out it. Ever !! Thanks Streaky, you hit a home run with this one ! ADAM REY
Subtle changes with big results!
Love Colourbox. You can tell its deigned by a music professional, not an accountant. No fuss, easy to use, just turn knobs and get the results. Mixing for the most part is about subtle changes that make a big difference. That's what Colourbox gives you in one simple to use plugin, where all the complex stuff is hidden away. It's great and now on every mix!

I like this plug in a lot. Very useful, you really can color your material in a nice way . If theres is on thing missing than it is auto gain, just to decide if I use it or not. All in all 10 from 10 points!
Not the ultimate secret weapon that it was advertised as but a super versatile and great tool to use
See title. Makes Masters really warm and round. The only disadvantage: if the masters have already been warmed up with saturation before the mixdown, the sound quickly becomes a bit too hot. So use carefully. But it gives many masters a great finishing touch.

A plug-in developed bye, and industry legend, and if you don’t believe me, the proof is in the pudding, if you haven’t taken any of his courses. Further to this other tutors, I have approached have highly praised Street keys credentials., I was at that point in my mixed and mastered chain where I needed a little bit of something that I just did not know where I was going to get it from… lo and behold at that very moment the colour box promo video appeared on Instagram.. this plug-in is that little bit magic that your MixBus needs almost a bus or Soundesign bus. The applications for this thing are limitless, but just know it’s a sound enhancing device that has been put together by a seasoned professional.

I’ve only used Colourbox on 1 master so far as I just got it. But I really like what it does to enhance the sound of the track. It’s very easy to use (3 knobs) and is relatively inexpensive. I’m happy with it so far.

Was a bit sceptic at first. After running the trial ( with the annoying noise :), I quickly decided to purchase this tool. this mixing and mastering tool gives a track definition and character. It is flexible and provides great presets from which one can fine-tune the sonic quality to taste.

exactly what i was looking for, easy 2 use but very effectiv and your cpu says thank you. the "clarity" and the "focus" dials are perfectly set, the "warmth "one could be go lower for my taste. maybe mister streaky adds a "de-colour" option in the future as an update, or makes an entire new plugin not to just add things, maybe take away some focus or clarity could be also helpful ;) means a negative dial would be great
Very Good Plugin
The colour is very good and useful. Does the job well for what it meant for. I am using AKG c214 mic which sometimes find hard to cut through the mix but with the help of the colour box plugin now my vocals can easily cut through the mix without changing the sound of my vocals. Thanks to streaky for this amazing plugin.

Since I installed Colourbox, I am using it on every mix. It is amazing which sounds it discovers. All mixes are also more 'open' and are playing better on small speakers. I have also used it on a voice-over with great results. Simple and toppie as we say in Belgium, use gently.

Yes, you can do it with other plugins if you want, but you need more than one. This is ONE tool that give you three knobs to make the global EQ decision or fitting tracks easier in the mix. I love the look! And hey, it is a damn Streaky thing! My new little helper.

I didn‘t think this little tool could change a whole mix, but if I shouldn‘t lie , it‘s the truth. I tried it out on different Channels with different Instruments and it‘s wonderful how it colours and how much transparence you get! Recommendet!

Great Product
I absolutely love it! I applied it to few previously mastered songs and did A/B comparison to learn it and now it is part of my mastering workflow. I like the clear definition of all three ranges including the Saturation. It is definitely a value add to my workflow and certainly do recommend it!

Pretty good
Great for pulling out transients with the focus dial and that is all I use it for and I haven't got anything else which does that so I think it's a good plugin to have. 3 stars because I don't find the other 2 do much that I like and I can get better from other plugins. But still, for the transient emphasis it's worth the money alone. Many thanks to Streaky for doing a useful plugin as I use it all the time now.

Tried it on a lacklustre vocal and it breathed new life into it. Was a bit disappointed there were no presets (was told there wasn’t any available at time of purchase), as I like to have a starting point to save time as I work on several projects a week. Looking forward to using it more

Worth it.
I've got far more plugins than I need, but after demoing Colourbox, I decided to add it to both my music and video production pipelines. It's a great time-saver for me. I plug it in on the master bus and have a noticeably better sounding project in seconds. It takes any mix up at least one- or two notches out of ten with no muss and no fuss. Highly recommended for professionals expected to deliver top-quality results on tight deadlines.

Nice plugin with room for improvement
Great mixing tool, really injects some life into the track. You need to add a global mix and an oversampling option. Ideally a minimum phase mode too ?

Amazing for live board mixes
After trying Colourbox on a variety of sources, I am quite impressed with how beautifully it cleans up a live L/R console mix. I find that I dial in each "knob" until I can just hear it and then back off slightly to get my best results. It plays nicely in Ozone, as well. Very impressive and a "trust your ears" simplicity. This is fantastic!
Could be nice
Tested this on a Track I'm currently working on, I compared it a little bit with the Gullfoss EQ, because it felt like kinda similar. It does some good work to the Track (beside it makes it much Louder and gives a lot more dynamic range to it). If you balance things out it still improves the feeling of the Track. But a very big minus point and the reason I will not buy this is the fact that it's super noisy, it adds a very audible noise to the whole signal. Although I can still reach kinda of a same Sound if I tweak the Gullfoss EQ the right way, which sounds super clean compared to Colourbox.
Everyone Needs Colourbox!
Colourbox does the heavy lifting by putting years of Streaky's personal experience into a EQ plugin that gets you where you need to be, much faster than an array of discreet plugins. This means you spend less time making adjustments and experiencing fatigue. If nothing else, Colourbox will get you "in the ball park" within seconds so you can spend more time on the last 5% of the work, which is where the perfection lies. You need this plugin especially if you are a pro engineer with a heavy workload. I've added this to my Mastering template and I already consider it as essential as my Fabfilter plugins.

Clever plugin. Gives that modern bright and detailed sound that cuts through. It’s 4 plugins in one and very gentle on the processor. It’s quality. Not a greedy thing about it, as one reviewer wrote. I like this one.
Great Tool for Podcast Polish!
Tested this out on a Audio Drama project I'm working on and was really impressed! It was able to push the dialogue out from the rest of the mix crystal clear and professional sounding! Will be using this on my mixing chains from now on. Outstanding!

Eq/Saturation Combo WINNER!!
Such a great sounding plugin, combining saturation and EQ into an easily manipulated interface that focuses you on using your EARS to mix/master - really proper results really fast, and sound posh and even when pushing the tops it doesn't get harsh and tizzy/digital sounding - and the warmth is full and brings the track more upfront without getting boomy or muddy - material dependent of course - but even though I have a lot of plugins as regular go-tos, and am only keeping the ones I use regularly, and trying to not buy more, this one NEEDED purchasing! Grab the free trial and HEAR for yourself!!! Never made this much improvement to a sound this quick in my decades of making music! Thank you STREAKY!
Genius
A genius plug-in which just makes everything sound so much better with minimal effort on my part. I'm sure Colourbox has a secret code going on under the hood, but with ultra low stress on my computers CPU (2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 @ 3% in Ableton Live 11). Also, it was fast and easy to install to MacOS 10.13 High Sierra. Congratulations and well done on a solid release Streaky, awesome work and thank you.
